About us

A neighborhood barbershop in Morelia's historic center. There are three of us, and we take walk-ins too.

Why Arco & Navaja?

We opened in 2019 in Morelia's historic center. Our name comes from the city's aqueduct arches, very close to the shop, and from the straight razor, the tool of the trade.

Who'll take care of you

There are three of us. If your barber is busy, someone else is usually free.

Mateo, barber at Arco & Navaja

Mateo

Classic cuts and razor shaves

He learned at his uncle's barbershop in Pátzcuaro, where he started helping out as a kid. He was the first to join when we opened. If it's your first straight-razor shave, tell him and he'll guide you through it. He's off on Mondays.

Iván, barber at Arco & Navaja

Iván

Fades and designs

He started cutting his friends' hair in middle school and later took a barbering course. Before coming here he spent three years at a barbershop in the Félix Ireta neighborhood. Many of the cuts you see on our social media are his. If you have a reference photo, bring it. He works Monday to Saturday.

Carla, barber at Arco & Navaja

Carla

Modern cuts, beards and kids

She studied hairstyling and worked in salons for several years before coming to the barbershop in 2021. She's very patient with kids and never rushes them, which is why many parents ask for her. On weekdays she starts at noon, and on Saturdays she works mornings.
